<p> DIED. SISTER PARISH, 84, patrician American interior decorator
whose traditional, low-key touch was sought for six decades
to grace the homes of the nation's industrial and political
barons, among them Astors, Rockefellers, Gettys, and First Lady
Jacqueline Kennedy, who enlisted Parish's help in her redesign
of the White House; in Dark Harbor, Maine. "What seems important
to me," Parish once said, "is permanence, comfort and a look
of continuity in the design and decoration of a house."
